He is a speaker, author, publisher, and teacher.  He is currently an instructor at Red Deer Polytechnic while engaging in speaking such as the Canadian Institute of Financial Planners annual conference.

He has a Doctorate in Business (DBA) with a dissertation on active versus passive investment management. Additionally, he is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). He Specializes in personal finance.
